Marketplace is a Classifieds Extension for the popular Content Management System(CMS) Joomla!  Version 1.4.5 is now available in the Sponsor Downloads Area. As you can see on the screenshots Marketplace 1.4.5 runs on Joomla 1.0.x and Joomla 1.5.x (legacy mode). The screenshots where taken on a Joomla 1.5.1 system. For the display of the ad images you can now choose between javascript popup or Slimbox. It's configurable in the backend. See screenshot to the right.

Marketplace Administrators and Moderators (set in the user manager) are now able to publish/unpublish ads from the frontend. Same for top, featured and commercial flags. This reduces the need for backend logins. In the 'My Ads' view, users can now see if their ads are published or not published.

In Marketplace 1.4.5 paid ads are introduced. In this first implementation 'Offline Payment' (Bank Transfer) and 'PayPal Payment' are supported. Set 'Publish ad by default' to 'No' and 'Enable Paid Ads' to 'Yes' and choose between 'Offline Payment' and 'PayPal Payment' or offer both. See screenshots below for the frontend view during payment process. This 'Paid Ads' feature will be extended in the future.
